First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 96pp including four blank leaves for notes. Purple cloth lettered in gold at the spine. With a frontispiece, four plates and various illustrations in the text. The cloth lightly marked at chafed and a former owner bookplate to the front free endpaper. A very good copy in price-clipped dust wrapper, just fractionally rubbed at one or two corner tips. A companion piece to the author's 'Englishman's Flora' (1955), dealing with the medical and magical uses of wild plants, plus details on picking, decorating, cooking, eating and dyeing.
