33 1/3 record in new condition in sleeve stamped on both sides by by the "Peabod Cpmservatory Library/Baltimore, MD 21202" in light ink. The jacket shows rubbing to the edges and a surface tear to the front side. On the back is a long-column note by Saroyan on his impressions of the recording. This is #D-451 in Desco's "American Composers Series". Performers are Leyna Gabriele, soprano; John Reardon, baritone; and Marvin Worden, tenor. The Columbia Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Frederick Waldman. Note: this is not a book but a recording and is quite rare.
