260 Pages Indexed. Light corner crease to front cover. Otherwise no defects noted. Faultless interior. The shock, fear, and confusion that follow diagnosis of a heart attack or heart disease are generally worsened by our high-tech. low-touch medical system. Just when patients should be listened to and patiently answered, they are given. the impression that only pills and scalpels are of any importance in determining their lives. or deaths. Fortunately this disempowering message is untrue. Lifestyle modification is as important. and in many cases more important. than standard medical care. Heart Therapy goes a long way toward arming patients to take control of those causes of heart disease that only they can change while acting as informed and active partners of the physician. Contents in Five Parts; Educating Yourself about the Medical Aspects of Heart Disease, Adjustment Immediately after a Heart Attack, Lifestyle Management Traditional Risk Factors, Lifestyle Management Emotional Risk Factors, and Coronary Heart Disease in Women.…

From the Author
"Heart Therapy" is an easy to understand , sensitive guide for learning about factors that lead to heart disease, how to prevent these, and how to recover from cardiac illnesses or surgery. It is unique in its emphasis not only on the traditional risks for heart disease, but also on how emotions can help or hurt your heart. "Heart Therapy" has been very well received and positively endorsed by persons such as Larry King, renowned cardiologists, and perhaps most importantly, by heart patients themselves. If heart disease has affected your life or the life of someone you love, we hope you will find our book useful in regaining your heart health.
