Small Octavo. 251pp. First edition, 5th impression. This book is in good condition. The boards are very good, with minor bumping and rubbing to the corners, and minor bumping to the top and bottom edges of the spine. There is light shelfwear to the front and back covers. The top corners of the front and back pastedown pages show evidence of previous damp ingress. This is also seen on the top corner of most of the page top corners (see images). The closed text block shows light foxing to the top edge. The pages are somewhat tanned. The binding remains tight. There is no dust jacket with this edition.

Store description
Wordhoard. One of the oldest written words in the English language (actually Wordhord in Old English). Storytellers would ‘open their wordhord’ whilst sitting amongst friends and family and tell stories of great deeds such as the story of Beowulf. It’s a word that speaks of the importance of storytelling throughout our history. So perhaps a fitting name for a bookshop? Based in Bristol, UK, Wordhoard Books specialise in selling collectible signed and unsigned first edition books for both adults and children. Collections include signed books, novels, natural history, military history, general history, art, graphic art, film, biography, poetry, and many more, so please do come and browse. If you have any questions regarding any of my books, feel free to get in touch.…
