In the prelude to this 271 page account the author relates how he joined the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry in Winnipeg. The year was 1936, and he was a musician. In the postlude he speaks of his six years overseas. The author kept a war diary. READ more about : Ravenna Opera House, Grupp Combattimento, Big Five Club, rotgut vino, rifleman, Lee Enfield, Glenn Miller, musical march-makers, Spitzbergen, and Canadian Expeditionary Force. UNillustrated. Cond : Paper wrapper is black with orangey-red lettering. Cover graphic (Oliver Taylor) shows a uniformed man blowing a trombone. Also shown is the harp badge referenced in the title. Clean and bright. Tight in binding. No names nor marks. Slightly above average edge wear. Excellent reading copy.
