1931. First Edition. 289 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound reddish leather with red cloth covered boards. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Edited by J C Squire; various contributors. Includes the first appearance in book form of Churchill's 'If Lee had Not Won the Battle of Gettysburg'. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Block edges dyed reddish by library. Sporadic heavier foxing and marks. Pp 281-289 have small tears but text remains legible. Pen marks to upper edge of text block. Boards have some edge wear, with bumping and rubbing to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Mild dust marking. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a forward lean. Bright gilt. Seller Inventory # 1770642210ADA
