Item description from seller

Handbill. One octavo sheet folded to make four pages and printed on two. Measuring 4¼" x 5" closed. Text in Spanish. Illustrated with a halftone portrait of Rosell. Heavily worn with foxing and soil, sound but good only. Prints a poem or lyrics by Rosell titled "No me olvides," as well as a cover greeting from the poet to those who (in English) "fight for the unity of the Hispanic race, for the emancipation of the international worker and for the triumph of the UNITED NATIONS in 1945." We haven't been able to find much about the progressive, Cuban-born American poet save for a mention in the book *Suspect Freedoms: The Racial and Sexual Politics of Cubanidad in New York, 1823-1957* (NYU Press, 2017). Rosell is mentioned in a list of attendees at a 1945 event in New York that are described as "some of the most distinguished names in Cuban literature, arts, and music." An ephemeral survivor.
