"A novel of the Snopes family." Very good minus, first edition book in very good minus dust jacket. Black cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and red graphics on front panel and spine. Upper external page edges are red-tinted. Colorful title page is exact image of front jacket panel. Board extremities are sunned, more so on the spine, and heavily on the lower 1 1/2" at tail of board spine. Shallow vertical creasing the length of board spine. Lettering on spine is mostly illegible from sunning. Side and external page edges are age-toned. Faint foxing and light shadow trqansfers around edges on end pages, else book is internally clean. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is soiled overall, all folds are heavily scuffed and with some rub-throughs. Upper edge at head of jacket spine is chipped and creased and with several closed tears. Upper edges off front and back panels are also rubbed and creased and with several smaller closed vertical tears. All fore-edge corners are rubbed, more so on the upper left corner of back panel. The reverse side of the jacket has been heavily reinforced by a previous owner, which may or may not have been necessary - see photo. Al inside flap corners have been clipped, including the price. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition description. Additional photos available at your request.
