Book size about 7 by 8 1/2 inches with some nine numbered pages (About 16 pages in all including end papers, title page, etc). Staple bound in thin cardboard with a front cover pictorial paste-on slightly smaller than the book. Illustrated end papers (Different for front and rear), frontis, title page illustration, couple of other small illustrations all by R L Hudson. One of a series of nature books for children from this famous San Francisco press. A stand alone edition not intended to be bound with any other books. Interior paper is high acid content, fragile and with tiny chips at three of the four page corners. In appearance a clean and lovely book.
