This work exposes Rome's convent prison system. The author hoped it would be instrumental in arousing "government officials to action to bring the speedy abolition of the convent system in America and to restore the enslaved victims their God-given liberty guaranteed by the Constitution of American Commonwealth." Photographs and illustrations are included. The previous owner's name is on the FFEP; lacking a small upper portion of one page above a portrait, appears to have been done when binding, no text affected; otherwise, this HARDCOVER copy is clean and solid.
