Three volumes, Volume I, II & III, with turquoise coloured hardbacks, gilt titles on spines all volumes come with nice box slipcase. The three volumes are all in super good condition, they all look like they have never been used or read. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Vol. I has 354 pages, Vol. II has 360 pages, & Vol. III has 343 pages. All pages, text and illustrations in all three books are in fantastic, clean, readable order. First published by The Folio Society in 1991, First Edition. The essays in Hours in a Library were first published in the Cornhill and Fraser's magazines and in the Fortnight Review. They were first collected in book form in three volumes published in 1874, 1876 and 1879. The text of the second three volume edition of 1892, which included additional essays, has been followed here. Set in Linotron Sabon by Fakenham Photosetting Ltd. Printed in Great Britain at The Bath Press, Avon on Monument Wove Paper, and bound there in full Buckram. Design by Caroline Archer. Three quality books from The Folio Society.
