In Which Are Narrated the Most Memorable Events of This Important Period: Particularly the American War, the French Revolution, the Long and Desolating Contest Which Sprung Out of It, and Which Was Closed by the Ever-Glorious Battle of Waterloo. The Whole Forming a Complete History of a Period the Most Momentous in the Annals of the World. Width: 9" Height: 11" Bound in contemporary three-quarter leather over marbled paper-covered boards. Spine has raised bands and gilt-lettered label. Modest rubbing and scuffing to covers, and small tear at top portion of front spine edge. Rear board has loss of cover material. Previous owner's signature appears on front flyleaf. Text block is intact. Title page exhibits light foxing. Scattered foxing can be seen on pages, as well as on margins and versos of plates. Engraved portraits of European monarchs, military and political leaders, including the Duke of Wellington, Frederick the King of Prussia, Viscount Castlereagh, Marshal Berthier, and Charles John, Prince of Sweden.
