1882, 196pp. Beveled boards with gilt lettering and deckle edges. Corners bumped, light foxing to front and rear flyleaves, else VG. There is a clipping glued to the front pastedown, perhaps from a bookseller's catalogue, apparently describing this book, and stating that it is one of the rarest of this author's books. Apparently it was his only attempt at serious poetry. When he was finished, he vowed never again to write a poem that couldn't be finished in a single sitting.
