Octavo, vii, 816 pages. In Very Good minus condition. Bound in publisher's decorated black cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front cover. Heavy rubbing to top corners. Wear to head and tail of spine with joints beginning to separate at head. Mild worming to front hinge with more severe worming to rear hinge. Discoloring to lettering on front cover. Light age toning and scattered staining throughout textblock. Binding loosening in various places. Shelved in Case 13. Contains Mark Twain's "Forty-three Days in an Open Boat" (pp. 104-113) attributed to "Mark Swain." This was his first appearance in a national magazine. 1376454. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
