Our privacy policy sets out what personal buyer information we receive from Abebooks, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, Alpha 2 Omega Books will share it with other parties. Alpha 2 Omega Books abide by and are compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 (herein referred to as “The DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (herein referred to as “The GDPR”) which comes into effect on 25th May 2018. For the purposes of GDPR, Alpha 2 Omega Books are the Data Processor when selling on Abebooks and process all personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which Alpha 2 Omega Books process personal data received from **Abebooks **is that of “Contract” - whereby processing is necessary in order to fulfil buyer orders and enquiries. Alpha 2 Omega Books receive personally identifiable information from Abebooks only when it is voluntarily submitted by buyers when placing an on-line order. Alpha 2 Omega Books treat all information they hold about buyers as private and confidential. Alpha 2 Omega Books will not reveal any personal details or details concerning buyers’ orders to anyone not connected with us, unless:

Data Subject Access Requests

Under GDPR, buyers are entitled to obtain from Alpha 2 Omega Books (the Data Processor for the purposes of GDPR when selling on Abebooks a copy of the data held concerning them and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. Alpha 2 Omega Books are obliged to provide this data to within 1 calendar month of the request and free of charge. However Alpha 2 Omega Books have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive.

Packaging

The books are packed securely and carefully in bubble wrap and posted in bubble
jiffy bags. The despatch note is included within. With every book you will get
a free Alpha 2 Omega Books Bookmark.

Refunds and Returns

Any book, you feel does not fit the description, may be returned for refund of
purchase and postage costs, within thirty (30) days from receipt, provided it is
returned in the same condition as it was received. Please, however, inform us
first. All other returns or refunds will be at our discretion.

Customs/Import Fees

For delivery, you may be subject to import duties
and taxes which are levied once the package reaches the destination country when
ordering goods from ¿us¿.

Please note that when ordering from Alpha 2 Omega Books, you are considered the
importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country
in which you are receiving the goods.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your
local customs office for further information.

Images

Please note that most photos of the books are stock images, however, should you
require an actual photo of the book, then we can send you a digital image upon
your request.

Stock Availability

Books advertised for sale are in stock, however, because we sell via other
websites, sometimes due to timing issues, the item may have been sold but not
removed from the website. In these circumstances, we will try to obtain a
further copy for you.

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Information regarding the right of withdrawal

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Alpha 2 Omega Books BA, Southampton, HANTS, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

1. The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
2. The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.

Shipping cost is additional to the book price.Orders usually ship within 2
business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If
your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra
shipping is required.

We offer FREE Delivery to UK for all orders (UK addresses only), including
Channel Islands and Isle of Man. All books shipped within the UK are sent via
Royal Mail or Parcel Force.

If you require an urgent delivery, we offer Express Delivery Service, via Royal
Mail Special Delivery Next Day, at a cost.
High value books will be shipped in UK via Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery
Next Day, or via Parcel Force.
All international sales sent via Royal Air Mail or courier.
