Troy Nelson Guitar Aerobics is a comprehensive 52-week guitar method book designed for players who want to systematically develop, improve, and maintain their technical skills. Ideal for intermediate and advanced guitarists, this softcover edition combines clear TAB and standard notation with detailed fingerings to guide daily practice across rock, blues, jazz, metal, country, and funk styles. From alternate picking and arpeggios to sweep picking, string skipping, legato, bending, and rhythm techniques, every exercise is crafted to increase speed, accuracy, and dexterity in both pick- and fret-hand movements.
The book includes 365 one-lick-per-day exercises paired with online audio featuring play-along grooves at eight metronome settings, allowing players to hear the licks in context and practise alongside professional backing tracks. Each workout is structured to provide a daily dose of technical vitamins, helping musicians stay motivated while developing precision, timing, and musical expression. With its balanced approach, the program encourages consistent practice while reinforcing core guitar fundamentals in multiple musical genres.
Whether used for structured learning, warm-up routines, or performance preparation, this book equips guitarists with the tools to expand technique, enhance creativity, and build confidence. The combination of printed exercises and online audio ensures players can apply skills immediately and track progress throughout the year, making it suitable for self-study, lessons, or guided practice sessions.
