Detroit, Michigan: Gale Research Company, 1975. This is the 1975 Gale Research first edition -- not a cheaply-made modern reprint. Brand New -- never read. Condition would be perfect but for just a touch of light rubbing to the cover. Bright, clean, square and tight. Sharp corners. NOT a library discard. NO owner's name or bookplate. NOT a remainder. Fresh and crisp. Pages are creamy white -- obviously never read. Still the standard baseball bibliography with about two thousand entries -- many expertly annotated. Described here are baseball books and booklets covering early club constitutions, guides, record books, annuals, general histories, team histories, biographies, instructionals, fiction, humor, verse, pictorials, schedule and record booklets, calculators, economic matters, yearbooks, minor league, amateur and pro, rule books, umpiring, world series and all-star games, tours, dictionaries and spectator guides, anecdotes and recollections, conditioning, quizzes, administrative works, Hall of Fame, scoring, etc. Introduction by Ken Smith, Director, The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Illustrated front and rear endpapers feature two different 19th century baseball scenes. Index. Bound in the original black cloth, stamped in orange and white. First Edition. Hardcover. New/No jacket, as issued. 8vo. xv, 363pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.…

Store description
About Books [Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and out of print books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail order catalogue, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of more than 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialities listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you want to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please only between the hours of 8am and 10pm, west coast time. Our phone is a landline that cannot receive texts.…
