Duodecimo. A spectacular 1938 Guide to the AT in Maine, in remarkable condition, published just a year after completion of the Trail. Olive typographical wraps. 385pp + ads. Ten maps, nine of which are topographical folding maps and the other an in-text map, all in outstanding condition. This historic piece features key stats like distance, elevation gains, detailed breakdowns of the route, landmarks, trail junctions, through terrain such as the Hundred Mile Wilderness, Katahdin, such as it was during the Great Depression. Mild rubbing and wear to wraps. Pages lightly tanned, with the pages on either side of the maps having light foxing and some insect damage along the edges. Wraps protected with clear archival mylar.
