About this Item

In the Green Tree by Alun Lewis, Hardcover, First UK Edition (1948). Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has fading/ staining inside the front cover, and slight bumping to the spine ends. The second page has a minute pen mark. The dust jacket shows general wear and ageing, with a sun-faded spine. A very nice, tight copy for a book of this age. (See pictures). The book is a selection of letters and also six short stories. It contains a preface by A. L. Rowse, a postscript by Gwyn Jones, a sonnet by Vernon Watkins, and drawings by John Petts.
