First edition of the third title in Lang's Fairy Books series, including the Three Little Pigs. Green cloth boards with gilt design of a dragon on front board, gilt lettering to spine. Corners are bumped and there is wear to edges. Rubbing to cloth. Spine is faded. Gilt page edges. Binding is tight and has probably been professionally rebound. Pages are clean but there is a tear down p155 and slight staining to several pages. Tissue guard on frontispiece has been neatly removed. Previous owner's pencilled dedication on flyleaf. Wonderful illustrations by Henry Justice Ford - eleven engraved plates and many other engravings. A very good copy. From the collection of the Nobel Prize for Medicine, George Minot.
