Near Fine grading takes the age into account. This is a clean and tight World True First Edition; yes, the English hardback preceded the American. This has the relevant Poetry Book Society Bulletin loose laid in. Beautiful sensitive poetry, Green With Beasts represents a marked advance over Merwin's first two books. This book was printed at the Ditchling Press in Sussex, England. The protected jacket is printed in two colours on a greenish stock. The cover typeface is by Eric Gill, who established the Ditchling Guild.
