The first casebound and first illustrated edition, preceding the American issue but apparently itself preceded by a wrappered edition issued six-months previously under the title 'The Cosmic Bean; or The Great Show in Kobol-Land' (a production what was probably only issued for copyright purposes). 8vo. 90pp. Cloth-backed decorated boards. Illustrated with numerous black and white illustrations, some of them full-page, by Dan Beard. Binding cracked at one gathering and tender at several others. Top edge dust marked, spine ends and corner tips lightly rubbed and the boards a little dust soiled. Some fox spotting to half a dozen preliminary leaves. A good copy of this uncommon five chapter fantasy by the noted American children's author and humorist. Seller Inventory # ARC93170
