Octavo, cloth boards, dustjacket, b&w plates, colour frontis, colour plate, maps, pp 232. Previous owner's bookplate front endpaper. A pencilled inscription shows that it was presented to the owner by Rosemary Foulkes-Taylor, and makes reference to the photograph in the book of Lieutenant Charles Foulkes-Taylor (preseumed to be a relative), who led the scout troop on the "Great Ride". Near-fine condition in like d.j. West Australian author's account from his diary and a Kodak pocket camera of his adventures from 1915 to 1919 as a scout with the 10th and the 3rd Light Horse Brigades through the Desert Campaigns of WWI in Jordan and Palestine.
