No Jacket as issued-26 x 17 x 3 x 1.19cm-Clean and unmarked copy-Hardcover- This is a surprisingly good reference book for the weekend gardener, and particularly if water gardening is of interest. The book devotes a very long section to the design/planning, installation and care of ponds and other garden water features. It also provides good information on the kinds of plants to consider in and around the pond. Beyond water gardening, "Great Ideas for Your Garden" focuses on design elements and garden layout. While there is some good general discussion of plants and how to maintain them, this book does not attempt to provide a comprehensive menu of plant types or regional limitations, etc. Good as this work is as a general reference, its current status as a bargain book (on Amazon and elsewhere) adds to its charms.Gift quality. 415 pp.…
