About this Item
First Edition (NAP). Rabbi Levi served as rabbi of Temple Israel in Boston, Massachusetts between the years 1911 and 1939. His 'installation led to changes within the religious school with the implementation of new policies such as paying teachers, establishing branch schools, and refocusing the curriculum on more traditional Jewish subjects.' The book has 12 chapters. A few of the titles are Moses Mendelssohn; The Art Of Living Together; Preaching And Life; and Let Us Have Faith. The covers (apparently calfskin) have suffered some losses, particularly at the corners and spine ends. You can see them in the photographs. The gilt lettering on the front cover is quite bright. The inside covers and end papers are a marbled pattern with a red background. There is a frontispiece photograph of the rabbi which is in very good shape. It is protected by a tissue guard which is also in very good shape. The book is square and solidly bound from cover to cover. I'm not seeing any cracks or spaces between any of the facing pages. The pages appear to be very clean, no more than a few spots in total. There's little to no creasing. I'm not seeing anything that stands out. There are no markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. Seller Inventory # 003911
