Item description from seller

First printing. Ex-library copy, with spine label, rear card pocket, an assortment of stamps, and some pencil markings around the copyright page. (Half a century after publication, this copy found its way to the library of Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri, and was checked out ~17 times between 1966 and 1983, according to the tipped-in checkout slip.) The spine is sunned, with wear to spine ends and corners. Considering the book's circulation, the binding is surprisingly tight, and though there are some pen markings to a few pages and graphics in the first two dozen pages, after that everything looks clean. An important book exploring different ways to convey (mostly) business information with charts and graphs, in charming hand-drawn illustrations. The first edition is uncommon. 3.5 pounds. 371 pages.

Store description

Hi all! I've been accumulating volumes for well over half my life, mostly autographed and inscribed copies. Wrote a book on book collecting for a Random House imprint in 2004 and another, "Book Collecting Now: The Value of Print in a Digital Age," for Chatwin Books, published in 2019. I intended to keep most of these books forever, but my wife and I decided to move to Manhattan, which meant downsizing from an enormous suburban house, with practically unlimited bookshelf space, to an apartment in Greenwich Village. So hello, AbeBooks!
