1st edition, first printing hardcover in red cloth boards with gilt titles and Huntsman taking a 5 bar gate while another waits on cover, Crossed whip/horn, fox mask and hound on book backstrip. Exterior all there but not pretty. Cloth is quite 'mottled' on half of frt board, much less so on rear, tips bumped with cloth broken, board tips just showing, spine ends bumped. No names, or soil in the 280 text with top edge gilt and untrimmed edges. Hinge papers fine, some very light foxing on half title page and narrow pink edge of both pastedowns. Obviously stored somewhere damp but has no funky smells. A perfect personal companion by the fireside for any sportsman. Seller Inventory # 45863

Personal volume of Horseman, Huntsman J. Stanley Reeve with his tasteful armorial bookplate on the inside frt cover. Crossed whip/horn, fox mask and hound on book backstrip. Tips bumped with cloth rubbed/broken on spine ends and one board tip showing. No writing or soil in the 280p text with top edge gilt and untrimmed edges.
