Blind stamped green cloth with gilt-decorated cover and spine, which features elaborate floral design. Fore-edge untrimmed. Owner's address label to ffep, else a very attractive copy with great shelf appeal. This is a significant volume in the Connoisseur's Library series. Lavish volumes, they represent a former era's attention to high-quality book production. qualities of gold and silver, alloys, carats and weights, working them. Condition: Acceptable. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A readable copy. All pages and the cover are intact (dust cover may be missing). Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition first edition antique book. An ex-library copy with the usual amount of stamps. Rubbing to the book edges and severe tearing and fraying to the spine cover hence acceptable. The board and the textblock binding remain secure with rare gutter cracking. The bulk of the dust darkening and toning is relegated to the untrimmed page edges, and the contents remain Good overall with crisp and unfaded print.
