"Every junkie dreams of a golden spike." Early novel about heroin addiction, Uncommon in hardcover. The book shows light wear, and the top and bottom of the spine are bumped. There is a bookstore sticker on the rear pastedown (W. S. Powell/ Stationer/ San Jose, California). The jacket is not price-clipped, but shows wear with a few small pieces (the largest is a half-inch triangle on the upper rear cover). It is heavily taped with clear (looks like Magic Mending) tape which has not discolored in the many years since Tom purchased the book in this condition. Seller Inventory # 201145
