Publisher's original light green cloth binding with title in gold on spine. Original dust jacket, clipped but price still showing 18s, dust jacket art by Edward Ardizzone. DJ is worn and faded at edges with small tears and few small pieces missing, there are stains on the back flap. Binding is fine with minimal discolouration along edges. Pages bright and clean with tiny amount of foxing on front and back end plates.Stain on bottom edge. Further details and images are available on request. Seller Inventory # 165

We are two bibliophiles currently selling some of the books from the collection of the actor Paul Scofield. This includes many first editions signed and given to him by the authors as well as working copies of the many plays he performed in. There is a nice collection of books relating to his role as Sir Thomas More in the 1966 play 'A Man for all Seasons' We've tried to give as much detail as possible on the condition of our books but are more than happy to send more photos if required.
