Item description from seller

### AbeBooks Listing: A Curator's Timestamp **Title:** * by David C. Cook - First Edition (2009): A Timestamp of Love, Recovery, and the Craftsman's Test* **Condition:** Very Good. A first edition from 2009. The cover shows minor, honest shelf wear consistent with a cherished 15-year-old book. The binding is tight, and the pages are clean and unmarked. It has been a treasured part of my personal library and is ready for its next chapter. **Description:** This is more than a first edition; it is a timestamp from a pivotal year in my life (2010). As the curator of this collection, I believe some books hold more than words; they hold moments of profound change. This book sat on my shelf the year I met my late husband, Bill, and it represents a "true graduation" for me. A moment when the deep, internal work of recovery and self-worth manifested in the real world. That Labor Day weekend, I was working my flea market booth when Bill, a self-proclaimed "wood refinisher," stopped by and stayed for two hours before finally asking me out. My requirement for him, born from a journey of learning to value my own worth, was simple: take a $15 desk from the market and "show me" he was who he said he was. This became my "craftsman test". A non-negotiable standard of integrity before intimacy. This test was the external proof of the internal blueprint I had been building for years, a process of rewiring my own narrative away from shame and toward self-worth. Bill not only passed that test with grace but went on to prove himself a loyal friend, father, and spouse. He proposed on 9/11/2010, and I proudly wore my engagement ring to a play about Bill W. at McMurray University later that month. A perfect circle of recovery, love, and commitment. This book is an artifact from that time. It represents the power of setting standards, the courage to demand authenticity, and the beautiful moment a "Warrior Priest" on a long road of recovery met a true craftsman who was everything he said he was, and so much more. I am offering this book not just as a collectible, but as a piece of my history. My hope is that it finds a new home where its story: of setting standards, demanding proof, and finding a love built on a foundation of integrity. I hope this book can continue to resonate.…

Store description

Welcome to a bookstore with heart and purpose. Designed especially for secretaries who rarely get the chance to browse thrift stores during the week. Whether you are a church secretary, office administrator, or faith-based school secretary, this space was created with your busy schedule and professional needs in mind. Locally, I sell directly to secretaries at their places of work. This is not just about convenience. It is about connection. By meeting secretaries where they are, I’m building a grassroots network of professionals who support one another, share resources, and find joy in discovering affordable, high-quality books without having to carve out time for weekend thrifting. These visits are more than transactions. They are opportunities to build relationships and foster a sense of community among those who often work behind the scenes but keep everything running smoothly. Online, my focus expands to church secretaries across the United States. Through my AbeBooks storefront, I offer a curated selection of books tailored to the unique needs and interests of church offices. Ranging from inspirational reads and administrative guides to thoughtful gifts and seasonal materials. By selling to businesses rather than individuals, I have found a safer, more structured way to interact and build trust. This approach allows me to grow a nationwide network of church secretaries who can connect, share ideas, and feel seen in their important roles. My mission is simple: to make book shopping easier, more meaningful, and more accessible for secretaries who deserve it most. Every book I list is chosen with care, and every sale is a step toward building a vibrant, supportive community of professionals who often go unrecognized. Thank you for visiting my store. I am honored to serve you. Excited to grow this network of dedicated secretaries, one book at a time. Contact Protocol: For clarity and efficiency, we require all first-time communication to be conducted through AbeBooks matrix. This ensures that both parties have a written record and can respond at their convenience. Phone calls may be scheduled once a business relationship is confirmed.…
