218 pages with an 8 page catalogue at the rear. from the book reviewer E. Wharrier Soulsby with his name and address in ink on half title and the number 367 on the contents leaf in ink again (wholly unnecessary and grandiose), two tone paper boards and hessian cloth spine, paper label rubbed, uncut edges and pages very clean and all tight. Small octavo. *Ernest Soulsby was a book reviewer and writer of political articles at the time of the Great war, this copy has written in "The Bookman 1915", so presumably sent for his summation from the publisher's? **The content and subject is anti-war and is done in a series of 10 chapters interlinking in the guise of a journey with the Greek hero's and the God's and man's frailties, a work full of metaphor.

Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
