Wilma, Tacoma, WA 1959. FIRST Edition. Not authorized by ERB Inc, but this edition was issued before any other, save the original four part serialization in All-Story Weekly during 1916. 250 total copies, 150 marbled boards, 80 or so were paper-bound, and another 20 or so bound in "black leatherette", this is copy #81/150 numbered hardcover copies with blue taped spine (as issued by the publisher) and marbled paper-covered boards About 3.75" x 4.5" Last numbered page is 47. Poorly produced, as were all copies. Fine copy Contrary to previous bibliographic citations I have seen, there are many known color permutations of spine tape- blue, red, green and black, with the paper over boards assorted marbled reds, greens, and browns, with endpapers black, light pink, light blue, light yellow, dark yellow, light blue-green, and marbled red. And other colors may also exist. Even the size was not uniform ranging from about 3.5" to about 4.0" measured spine to fore-edge, and from about 4.25" to about 4.5" measured top to bottom. The bibliographic confusion is understandable given that for many years virtually no hardcover copies had been offered for public sale, making this perhaps the rarest ERB first edition book title. The copies I have are the result of finding some copies that had been "lost" in storage since the early 1960s. dskdr3E. Seller Inventory # 867027
