Item description from seller

First edition, first printing. 77, [3] pp. In publisher's perfect bound orange printed wraps. Near Fine with fading to spine, light rubbing to rear joint and edges. The actress's sole work of fiction, published by Top Stories, an offbeat prose periodical founded by artist Anne Turyn that spotlighted experimental literature written primarily by women. A rather scarce issue, this being a collection of surreal anecdotes and camp short stories of people who are healed by Mueller's supernatural acne cures. Accompanied by stark, black-and-white doctored photographs by David Armstrong, Nan Goldin, and Peter Hujar. Cookie starred in many of John Waters' early films including Pink Flamingos, Multiple Maniacs, Female Trouble and Desperate Living before passing away from AIDS in 1989.
