Original portfolio with small tears along spine edges, parts of the ties missing, and a typewritten letter containing information about an architect tipped in inside the front cover. Title page and half title for Volume I (containing Parts I-IV, published later in 1899) present. General Index of Text and Illustrations, Volumes I and II (i-xiii) also present. Preface + 36 pages text + 33 loose plates. Text and all plates present. Few stray pencil marks, some tears along spine edge creases, and some small chips, edge tears, and smudges. The plates are nice.
