Minor edge and corner wear to the dj; lightly scuffed and scratched; corners are gently bumped and rubbed; some light shelf wear; ex-library with the usual library markings; overall a nice used copy! Gray boards with black lettering on the spine. Black and white pictorial endpapers. 379 historical and artistic pages nicely enhanced by black and white and full-color photographs and illustrations! "This searching and comprehensive monograph examines the life and professional career of George Segal, one of America's leading twentieth-century sculptors, celebrated throughout the world for his white plaster figures. Since 1962, when a New York Times critic, in reviewing a show of nascent Pop Art, prophetically called Segal's innovative and dramatic new work 'the find of the exhibition,' Segal's sculpture has gained international recognition for its power to transform a familiar commonplace reality into highly evocative poetry and theater.".
