A first edition, first printing of 'A Game of Thrones' published by Voyager [HarperCollins] in 1996. A very good (or better) book with a thin stain to the page edges which are browned (typical of this title) - small blemish to the corner of the front board. In a very good unclipped wrapper which is lightly edge worn. The book introduces the brutal world of Westeros. Noble houses scheme for the Iron Throne while ancient threats stir beyond the Wall. Through multiple viewpoints, the story explores power, honour, betrayal, and survival, blending political intrigue with epic fantasy, complex characters, and shocking twists. It sets a dark, realistic tone that redefined modern fantasy storytelling for generations of readers. The book was adapted into an HBO series in which most of the ladies were naked (apart from Diana Rigg.).
