Just touches of wear to extremities, covers clean and bright, silver bright, previous owner's blind stamp on front free endpaper, a very few underlinings in pencil in the last chapter, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket spine slightly darkened, else very good and better and not price-clipped. A standard work on the origin of the four gospels by one of the premier scholars of his day. Frederick C. Grant was Professor of Biblical Theology in Union Theological Seminary.
