Add to basketThis is a hand made high school year book assembled by Verna Brewer who attended Carterville High School in Carterville, Missouri. She graduated in 1923, one of 14 in her class. Book size about 6 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches with some 180 or so pages. Bound in tan cloth over boards with gilt lettering. One of those early Yearbooks where the publisher provided an outline of what to enter in the book and then the student filled-in the book in whatever manner they chose. This is a better than average example of the type with student names, printed programs, writings from classmates, party invitations, press notices, various programs related to school work, some 15 photographs with names of the subjects, and much else. I could say this is rare, but it is actually unique, one of a kind, as are all these old hand-made yearbooks. A reference book for Women's Studies showing how the young girl of the 1920's/30's was educated. This is one volume in a collection of some 65 of these old Yearbooks ranging from the late 1800's to the 1930's mostly from the Midwest which will be in my book seller catalog titled 'Women'. Light wear. VERY GOOD Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng.
