1st 1950. Good condition in a dustwrapper in fair condition. Blue cloth with black titles. 4 b/w plates plus text illustrations. Spine bumped. Damp(?) spots to covers. Section of front free-endpaper removed from top 2". Light stain affects edge of last page and rear free-endpaper. Contents genearlly clean. Dustwrapper is well worn and creased, slight loss to edges. Rear panel of wrapper is very grubby. Tape repair to base of spine. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!. Seller Inventory # 1326621

Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Stead, Leslie (illustrator). First Edition. Boards have a curve to the front panel and some slight bumping to spine. Page edges are browned with a few light spots. Front free endpaper and half title page have been cut out. Pages are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has been price-clipped and re-priced by the publisher. There is a one inch closed tears to the top left corner of the front panel with some associated creasing there and at the top of the spine. Another one inch closed tear to the bottom of the spine with a smaller closed tear at the bottom edge of the front panel and some creasing in between. There is an inch long closed tear to the top left corner of the rear panel and a little chipping to the other corners. There is some discolouration to the rear panel and prices on the rear flap have also been adjusted by the publisher with the original price of 6/- overprinted in black. Illustrated by Leslie Stead. Pale Green Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Leslie Stead (illustrator). 1st Edition. 192pp. black lettering to spine (Scottie dog at base of spine) and front board. Frontis + three other full page illustrations in balck/white. Some discolouration (fading) to part of front and rear boards probably due to damp atmosphere. Dust jacket (in removable protective cover) has some creasing to top and tail of spine panel which also shows some scuffing.
