Item description from seller

30 pages + errata slip on final blank pasted in. Hand written 18th century notes on the tatle page "Liber; Richard Blinch for Cou? Geo Arnold's mother" and at the foot of the page "Alderman Arnold's mother". The title page is somewhat grubby from being issued without boards, the pages inside have some light damp marks, but not recent and commensurate with age, page 8/9 has edge loss, not affecting text and looks like a printers fault? The book is complete but disbound with sections loose from one another. Small octavo size, but bound in 4's, so small quarto. *Note: Not located on Copac or Worldcat so extremely scarce provincially printed booklet. Samuel Blinch was a local Bideford, Devon, prominent business man who died, we believe, in 1727. The Rev Samuel Atkins died in 1702, so this may have been printed posthumously.

Store description

We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.…
