A fun collection of colourful cartoons by the British political cartoonist Bert Thomas (1883-1966) who, as well as contributing to Punch magazine, was the creator of British propaganda posters during the World Wars. This work compiles a selection of amusing cartoons of British country life.During the First World War, Thomas was best known for the cartoon of a Tommy lighting a pipe with the caption "Arf a Mo", Kaiser!". His best known work during the Second World War was the series "Is Your Journey Really Necessary?". In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, bright and smart.
