Green cloth with white lettering and lovely white cover illustration. Bumping and light rub to head and heel of spine and corners. Small dented spots to front edge of front board. Very slight rubbing of the white border decoration. Text is clean and bright, one small smudge to margin of first page of text, otherwise no marks. Beautifully illustrated throughout with drawings by Thomas Fogarty. In this book, Grayson leaves his farm and sets out along the road to see new places and meet new people. "Surely it is good to be alive at a time like this!" so it begins. Includes a sweet unsigned previous owner gift message, written in glorious script, neatly tipped in at the second free endpaper.
