Clean, unmarked, with sound binding. A very good to near fine copy: boards clean with sharp corners. DJ, in protective sleeve, modestly edgeworn (barely visible beneath its sleeve) with very occasional rubbing and one tiny scuff to joint towards crown of spine, one very small closed tear. Page interiors crisp, colorplates vibrant. A copiously illustrated tome documenting the complete prints made by Helen Frankenthaler between 1961 - when the artist first began to practice printmaking - and 1994. All 235 edition prints and over 70 proofs are illustrated in color, with additional black and white illustrations. It documents all extant proofs of the artist's prints, including measurements, colors, inscriptions, and the relationship of each proof to the final edition print. Includes artist's chronology, bibliography and exhibition histories, and various indices of titles, proper names, publishers and printers. A handsome example of this important book.
