Has four original illustrations by Martin Lewis, baseball, track, bobsledding (which is the frontispiece) and jumping into the river. This is part of the six book Frank Armstrong Series, and one of two with a baseball theme. Gray boards with a pitcher with white stockings and jersey and red stripes and a red cap, in mid delivery. This was the original True First Edition. The cover has red lettering on the front cover and black lettering on the spine. This edition is taller and wider than the A.L. Burt reprints, which did not have the other illustrations. In fair condition, corners are bumped. Has the name of a prior owner, Christmas 1911. I have more than 165 Juvenile Baseball Fiction and more than 2,500 Baseball Publications in stock. Discounts are available on multiple purchases on the same order.
