About the Author: Michel Leiris ne en 1901, mort en sept 1990 etait a la fois poete, ethnographe, essayiste, ecrivain et critique d art. Son uvre autobiographique s impose avec son ouvrage La Regle du jeu qui lui a demande trente cinq de travail pour sa redaction. Il est l auteur de plus de 50 ouvrages majeurs, dont L age d Homme qui lui vaut sa celebrite, des monographies et essais sur des artistes contemporain comme Andre Masson, Giacometti et plusieurs sur Francis Bacon: Francis Bacon ou la verite criante (1974), Bacon hors la loi (1989). Des manuscrits en quantite ne sont pas encore publies a ce jour ou en cours de publication.
