Description:
First UK Edition. Publisher's green boards with red lettering to the spine. Boards bright and clean apart from the head and tail of the spine where there are patches of fading matching chipping to the dustwrapper. Foxing to the page block edges and to the early/late pages of the book which have crept into the inner text in places. Overall VG indeed (with a dusty top edge). The dustwrapper is priced 7s 6d net to the inside flap (as called for). There is shallow chipping at the head of the spine just affecting the top part of "THE". At the base of the spine there are 2 chips removing the HA of HAMILTON and most of "HAMI" and the letter "N" of HAMILTON. An exceedingly uncommon book. I am not aware of another wrappered copy on the www at this time and, indeed, I have never handled a copy in wrapper before. It is of legendary scarcity. Photographs/scans available upon request.
