New York: Privately Printed for Frederick Humphreys, M.D., 1898. Very Good condition but for an old damp mark on spine/rear cover, not affecting text. Original gilt-lettered tan cloth, lightly soiled, with green vine and leaf decoration on the front cover, similar in style to that of Margaret Armstrong. Top edge gilt. Ink inscription on flyleaf. Several pages with minor foxing. Frontispiece portrait. Number 410 from an edition limited to 750 hand numbered copies. Describes an 8,000 mile railroad tour to the American west and back aboard a private Pullman car. The itinerary included Georgia, Alabama, New Orleans, San Antonio, El Paso, Yuma, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Oakland, Salt Lake City, Leadville, Glenwood Springs, Leadville, Colorado Springs, Denver, Kansas City, Columbus, St. Louis, and back to New York.
