Flex and Flora 3 offers four competence-oriented booklets, each dedicated to one area: examine language, write correctly, write texts and read. The booklets do not specify any subject matters. They can be linked together and used independently.
The four booklets are edited at your own learning pace. The children's individual learning process is at the forefront and open forms of teaching are supported. Within a booklet, the order of units represents a suggestion. It can be changed as each unit has a completed theme.
Each unit of a booklet starts with an entry page and a problem-oriented introductory picture, which can be opened up independently by learning conversations in plenary or in small groups, but also by strong children. The introductory images allow discovery learning and, together with the tasks of the entry page, give an overview of the topic of the unit.
On the following exercise pages, children can practice individual partial competences of the topic self-controlled and in this way work very individually with the booklet. Tasks at three levels - tailored to requirements I to III of national educational standards - as well as versatile exercises promote and ensure learning success. Work orders are simply formulated and supported by pictograms. Cooperative learning situations are regularly initiated. The Flex and Flora figures give tips and helps, so that children can work independently and largely without teacher support.
Stop signs at the end of units guide the children independently into their diagnostic book, so that the teacher has an overview of the children's learning level at all times in open lessons. The treasure chest refers the children to materials in the explorer card.
The learning success is documented on the final "Das kann ich Jetzt" portfolio pages. The removable pages complete a collection of the best works of a school year.
