Item description from seller

Univ. of Wisconsin Press, 2012. First edition. Scholarly paperback, 9 inches tall, vii + 409 pages including afterword, contributors, and index, illustrated with figures and tables, footnotes at end of each article. This copy in very good condition overall. Clean, crisp text. No underlining or marginal notes. Firm binding, no loose pages. Lower free corner of first few pages slightly bent (creased), but that’s about the only flaw on this copy. Book looks only lightly used, not worn. Essays are in 3 parts: (1) Cities as Fire Regimes, (2) Fire as Risk and as a Catalyst of Change, and (3) The Politics of Fire. More info on request.

Store description

I started selling books online around 1997-8, first on Bibliofind and then on Amazon. In my youth, I worked for a college textbook store and later at a university library. So I'm no stranger to scholarly books. Although semi-retired now, I still collect books and currently list for sale items no longer wanted in my personal library. Thus I do not have a large inventory as I am working from home. Still, I have an eclectic collection as befits a former librarian. My stock includes textbooks and scholarly books, with an emphasis on history, philosophy, and religion. My approval rating when I was with Amazon was 99% (2 were neutral). I'll try to accommodate any reasonable request.…
